Vision 2020

A letter from Pastor Ernest

Dear People of Front Range Church,

God has been doing an incredible work through our church. I am amazed at His grace and power being displayed in and through our church. We have seen almost 70 people make commitments to Christ in the last 5 months and over 400 since we started as a church. We have been able to help start 25 churches in the last 4 years, as well as impact thousands of people by partnering with multiple local organizations who are making a difference in Castle Rock and Douglas County.

In order to be faithful to our calling and to maximize the opportunities that God has opened to us, we as a church are launching a new initiative that we are calling Vision 2020. Vision 2020 will provide the necessary resources to have a greater impact in our local and global outreach, missions and church planting efforts, as well as the necessary resources to find and purchase property as the future home of Front Range. We believe God is calling us to look for a more permanent home and we believe Vision 2020 is going to help make this dream and calling possible.

In Christ’s Love,
Pastor Ernest Smith

Testimonies

Bill and Jackie Breeden

“Hello, We are Bill and Jackie Breeden. We are empty nesters with two loving daughters, two fantastic sons-in-law and one very precious grandchild (so far). The Lord led us to Front Range in the spring of 2015 after being away from Colorado for 8 years. While it would have been easy to settle back into the church we previously attended in a neighboring town, we felt God leading us to seek out a church that was impacting our new local community of Castle Rock. On our very first visit, it was clear that God was working in a mighty way through this relative newcomer called Front Range. Over the next several weeks we were struck by the generosity of this church, the focus on the local community and the passion for leading people to Christ … values that perfectly aligned with our own. Our reservations of joining a brand new community of believers that seemed closer to our kids age than our own quickly vanished and we knew we had found our new church home.

Three years later, we find ourselves helping to set the course for the next phase of the journey. We are so excited and honored to be part of the Vision 2020 campaign. What a tremendous opportunity to be in on the ground floor of a thriving church that will continue to impact Castle Rock and the surrounding area for years to come! We have been prayerfully considering how God is leading us to give sacrificially to this initiative and we urge each of you who call Front Range home to do the same.

God is working through Front Range to impact the local and global community and we feel so blessed to be part of the journey!”

Cliff and Amanda Hancock

“We’re excited for Vision 2020 because it gives us the opportunity to reach as many people as possible. It give us a permanent home, it allows for more mission trips, it allows us to reach out to our own community, and to show other people how to reach out through their community.”

FAQs

Q. How much money is going outside of Front Range?

A. 20% of all the money we receive through Vision 2020 is going to support our local and global outreach partners as well as supporting future church plants.

Q. Do we already have a property in mind to purchase or lease?

A. Not specifically, but we are keeping all of our options open right now including new construction and renovating a current building.

Q. Will this be enough money to purchase a building?

A. This money is going to allow us to put a down payment on a piece of land or for refurbishment costs on a current building. It is our first step towards having a building.

Q. Why do we want to purchase a building?

A. Historically, when a church moves into a permanent facility it sees immediate growth and greater opportunities to reach and care for more people. We believe a building will help us better serve our town and reach more people for Christ.

Q. When are we going to have a building?

A. We don’t have a specific timeline right now as we want to make sure we make the best decisions for Front Range, but once we have raised the money we need, we will be able to move very quickly on properties that become available.
